I’m Alice. I’m 30 years old. For 24 years, I have kept a secret. That all changed when I admitted to my therapist that I had been sexually abused as a child. Since then, I have had the feeling of falling down the rabbit hole. This blog is my journey of working through my trauma, as well as what life after being sexually abused really looks like, and what it’s like living with PTSD. I don’t have all the answers, and I am not a professional. I’m just one woman, sharing her story.

Hi, just found your blog, I’m sorry you’ve had to experience this yet just think how much guts it took for you to share your story. I’ll keep in touch. Deb

  2. Wow! Thank you, I can’t believe that I have been nominated for an award. That is really amazing. Thank you, I don’t even know what to say. I have looked at some of your writing, and the blogs you nominated, and I think my writing it nowhere near the level of yours or the others you nominated, so thank you for considering me to be equal. I hope that by sharing my journey, others will have courage to get help, see that they aren’t alone, or that maybe spouses, friends, parents will see what their loved ones go through. That’s why I write. And I write because I have always written. πŸ™‚

  3. It caught my eye that you mentioned feeling like falling down a rabbit hole.
Sometimes I have nightmares that I’m falling down an unending hole in the ground.
Thank you for breaking your silence.

  4. Hi Alice. I can really relate to the idea of “falling down the rabbit hole” (that’s actually why I chose the profile picture I did). Also, I am in my early 30’s and I went 25 years before telling my therapist that I was sexually abused. Always good to know we’re not alone in this kind of stuff….

    • Yes it is always good to know we aren’t alone. It’s good to have another person who understands “down the rabbit hole”, although I am sorry that you do understand it.

I actually found your blog because another blogger reposted something you wrote, and your profile picture drew me to your blog to read a little more of it. 😊

I write about my healing …I write about other things too, but for the most part its about my healing from PTSD and the sexual abuse I endured as a child.. therapy has been a GREAT thing for me thus far…. Glad I found your blog …

    • Hi Karen 😊 I’m so glad therapy has been good for you so far. I’m very thankful for my therapist and all she has helped me through. It’s amazing what therapy can do. 😊

    • Thank you, Patricia! Ive been really bad about awards lately, but i promise i will try my best to do this one. I always feel really honored when someone gives me an award, even if i struggle to get to it. ❀️😊
